Daimler India Commercial Vehicles crosses 25,000 unit mark in exports
Chennai– Daimler India Commercial Vehicles marked yet another milestone by producing 25000 vehicles determined for exports. The milestone vehicle, a Fuso FJ 1823R was shipped to Saudi Arabia. An integral part of Daimler’s global production network for trucks and buses, its Indian Oragadam plant is the only location worldwide which produces engines, transmissions, trucks and buses catering to four brands – BharatBenz, FUSO, Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner.
BharatBenz receives its First BS-VI Certificate
Chennai– Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has received its BS VI readiness certification - a pioneer in the industry with its SCR technology, from ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) for its 5528TT. The BharatBenz 5528TT, the maximum GVW in its category is targeted at applications like cement, bulkers, steel coils, tankers and other heavy load transportation.

New Touchpoint for Daimler Trucks and Buses in Bhutan
Daimler Trucks’ Regional Center Southern Asia in association with Ugen Auto today inaugurated a new 3S state-of-the-art dealership in Phuentsholing which will cater to Daimler’s commercial vehicle brands of BharatBenz trucks and Fuso buses. This also marks the official market launch for Fuso’s light duty Rosa buses in Bhutan. Daimler Buses India records strong year 2018, expects continuous growth
Chennai – Daimler Buses India, a unit of Daimler Buses under the umbrella of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), looks back at a successful business year 2018. In India, sales of buses, luxury coaches and chassis grew by more than 70 percent to 1,555 units (2017: 906 units), while exports saw an increase of more than 50 percent to 616 units (2017: 405 units). For 2019, Daimler Buses India expects to achieve further significant growth, driven both by domestic and exports business.
New axle load regulations: first upgraded BharatBenz models handed over to customers
Chennai/ Jaipur: BharatBenz handed over its first trucks upgraded according to the new axle load regulations. The milestone was celebrated at customer events in Chennai and Jaipur. The first two upgraded BharatBenz models – a 55-tonne tractor and a 28-tonne rigid truck, are now commercially available at dealerships across India. The brand will upgrade its entire portfolio according to the new axle load regulations in a staggered approach.
